If you watched a couple of the videos I've posted on social media lately labeled "mindset magic", here's a little debrief on how they work.
Read the sentence:
It's just the way I am.
Take a breath. What feeling did reading that create?
Now read the translated sentence:
It's just the way I am thinking.
Take another breath. What feeling did this version create?
Feel the difference?
The first one? That's the feeling of a shitty, victim centred mindset. Keep talking like that and continue to watch yourself hold yourself back.
That second feeling? That's the feeling we're after. That's the feeling of a rock solid, resilient mindset, and it's the feeling WE can create for ourselves. In all aspects of our lives.
We've let the attainability of that solid mindset slip away. We allow this to happen through multiple ways and behaviour patterns, but to be as straight up as possible....It comes down to getting control of our words and our breath. Focus on these two things above all else and you will be astonished at how you evolve. How you get yourself out of what I like to refer to as the "stuck and suck".
After all, our definition of Mindset is simple:
It's the story you tell yourself.
